2025 norfolk TRAIL MARATHON/half marathon - marrioTT'S WAY

Boghopper Races are thrilled to announce the arrival of their inaugural Norfolk marathon and half marathon. 

We have taken over Marriott's Way Marathon and Half Marathon races in beautiful Norfolk from Positive Steps, adding to the success of the Weavers' and Boudicca Way ultras in 2023 and 2024.

The Marriott's Way Marathon starts on the Marriott's Way and winds its way to the finish in Aylsham Town Centre. 

The Half Marathon starts at Whitwell and Reepham Station and also finishes in Aylsham Town Centre.  

Both are on easy to follow route on a traffic free course (road crossings will be marshalled). Runners and walkers welcome, with generous time allowances. The course has not been measured by a UKA approved course measurer, therefore the distances are approximate.

Race Information

Marathon registration and start Marriott's Way start, nr Barker Street, Norwich, Norfolk.

Half Marathon registration and start at Whitwell and Reepham Station, Reepham, Norfolk.

1. Marathon start at 09:00 with 8 hours to reach the finish.
2. Half marathon start at 10:00 with 4 hours to reach the finish.
3. Limited to 300 participants. 
4. Minimum age on race day: Marathon - 18 years, Half marathon 17 years
5. A unique medal to all finishers
6. Chip Timing
7. Race number collected on the day.
8. Water provided on the route at approx. 10km intervals. 
9. Snacks at half way (marathon only)
10. First aid services
11. Hot drinks and snacks at the finish in Aylsham Town Hall
12. Prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd finishers in both Female and Male/Open categories, in both races.

Supporters encouraged along the route.

Buses and the train station are a short distance from the finish in Aylsham Town Centre. Buses back to Norwich run every hour. We encourage you to use public transport or car share to limit the environmental impact.

We are LGBTQ+ friendly. We are non-binary friendly. You can enter our race as Female (Females only category), Male or non-binary (Male/Open category). 

This event is licensed by the Trail Runners Association and held under UK Athletics Rules. Permit number tbc.
