2025 norfolk TRAIL MARATHON/half marathon - marrioTT'S WAY

Boghopper Races are thrilled to announce the arrival of their first full Norfolk marathon and Half marathon. 

We have taken over Marriott's Way Marathon and Half Marathon races in beautiful Norfolk from Positive Steps, adding to the success of the Weavers' and Boudicca Way ultras in 2023 and 2024.

Both the marathon and half marathon are on easy to follow route of Marriott's Way. A beautiful and traffic free course (road crossings will be marshalled). 

Runners and walkers welcome, with generous time allowances. 

The course has not been measured by a UKA approved course measurer, therefore the distances are approximate.

Marathon:

Registration 0730 to 0830: Pinches Cue Club, 85 Barker St, Norwich NR2 4TN 

Race start: 0900 - Anderson's Meadow

Half Marathon: 

Registration 0830-1000 (and start) Whitwell station, NR10 4GA

Race start 1030

Both finish at Aylsham Town Hall, Market Place, Aylsham, NR11 6EL

Start Anderson's Meadow, a short walk from registration 

Half Marathon Information

Half Marathon registration and start at Whitwell and Reepham Station, Reepham, Norfolk.

1. Marathon start at 09:00 with 8 hours to reach the finish.
2. Half marathon start at 10:30 with 4 hours to reach the finish.
3. Limited to 300 participants overall. 
4. Minimum age on race day: Marathon - 18 years, Half marathon 17 years
5. A unique medal to all finishers
6. Chip Timing
7. Race number collected on the day.
8. Water provided on the route at approx. 11km intervals. 
9. Snacks at half way (marathon only)
10. First aid services
11. Hot drinks and snacks at the finish in Aylsham Town Hall
12. Prizes for the 1st place finishers in both Female and Male/Open categories, in both races.

Supporters encouraged along the route.

Buses and the train station are a short distance from the finish in Aylsham Town Centre. Buses back to Norwich run every hour. 

We encourage you to use public transport or car share to limit our environmental impact.

We are LGBTQ+ friendly. We are non-binary friendly. You can enter our races as Female (Females only category) or Male or Non-binary (Male/Open category). 

This event is licenced by the Trail Runners Association and held under UK Athletics Rules. Permit number 7001.
