Thank you so much for all the hard work you’ve put in to make yesterday a huge success!! We had an awesome day
DH
Yesterday was absolutely amazing, thank you all so much , I called my Strava 'if Carlesberg did trail runs' because it was absolutely spot on. Thanks for organising a little less sun than Boudicca too
KL
My first Boghopper Races Ltd run and I loved it!

Thank you so much for the incredible support throughout the course. Marshals kept us safe and on the right path and everyone at the aid stations were so incredibly supportive and helpful.
Well deserved beer for all the hard work.

Another superb event - thank you Janice & Kevin (and volunteers) for all your hard work! Looking forward to next years events already BC
Fantastic race thank you. Hugely impressed with every part of the organisation. Loved every minute of it. Aid stations were brilliant, even persuaded my husband to shake a tambourine for us , a sight I won't forget
Thank you

Just a quick Thank You to Janice, Kevin and Boghopper Races for a Perfect introduction to Ultra running. A fantastic and scenic route with excellent and supportive marshalls, feed station crews and all others involved from start ( sign in crew etc ) to finish ( cheesy beans on toast with table service !!). Looking forward to the photos when ready. Nuff said and thanks again.
MS
Thank you for putting on such a lovely race, it was such a lovely route with great support along the way. The volunteers were all great and so friendly, supporting and encouraging. The aid stations were spot on and the weather was perfect. A really lovely day
KC
Thank you so much for an amazing first ultra experience. The organisation, the team, the course and the weather meant I absolutely couldn't ask for anything better. Totally faultless.
It was the best experience of my life and by far my greatest achievement!
I will always remember it

Thank you again for putting on an amazing event on Saturday, an incredible day that I won’t forget

Hello just a bit of personal feedback from yesterday Boudicca Ultra, firstly the signing on and start was well organised, and the helpers at the well stocked checkpoints were excellent, but on the downside I thought the route could have been better signposted I went wrong once as it was a left turn but coming from race direction the sighs were behind me and another time a fellow runner shouted I’d run past a turn, finally at the end drinks at the finish line would have been appreciated, but thank you for a hot run. Regards
JB
The two of you had the most impressive performance with the Boudicca Way 50K, surpassing all the runners. Much better engagement with participants leading up to the race and afterwards than even most professional race management companies putting on marathons for 5K+ participants. Heck, even the photos showed up within 24 hours where it's common to wait two weeks for them. And they're at no additional cost!
The weather ended up being a bit too much of a challenge for a lot of the runners who aren't used to those temperatures. My goal was to maintain a relaxed running pace to put me just ahead of a 5:00:00 finish. I passed a number of runners in the second half who went out way too fast early on. Hopefully the Boudicca Way 2025 has more merciful temps and cloud cover.
Boghopper Races Ltd is one of the best race organizations I had the pleasure to run with. Great organizers, helpful volunteers, friendly fellow runners, and a city (Norwich) rich in history. It was an awesome experience for my first ultramarathon.

Hi Janice & Kevin
Just an email to say thanks for your inaugural event yesterday. So well organised & managed. Friendly checkpoints, volunteers & tail walker.
Sadly I had to pull out halfway at checkpoint 2 due to not feeling too good - it was suggested afterwards I’d got early stages of heatstroke and did the right thing stopping. It was my first ever DNF & I’ve run in hotter weather including RTTS over 2 days so not something I’d given much notice to beforehand.
You put on a brilliant event so I will be back next year (fingers crossed you are running the event in 2025) wiser & better prepared after some interruptions to training this year.
Wishing you the best with your other events.
Kind regards
SW
Dear Janice and Kevin
Thank you for a great day out. This was my first ultra and it was a (mostly) fun day out. Such a lovely, friendly, well-organised race - just perfect for newbies to work their way through an event like this for the first time.
I can't say I enjoyed the slurry "foot bath" about half-way, but there's not much anyone can do about that. The route was nice and varied, and you cleverly kept the best bits for the end. The grass tracks from the final check point were bliss!
It is totally a matter of personal choice and I would have enjoyed one or two more savoury snacks besides crisps at check points. But the main point is that all the volunteers at CPs were fantastic and care at the finish superb. I'd love to know how many cups of tea that angel in the Manor Rooms made! Each with a smile on her face.
I particularly wanted to write all this because I know that it is in our nature more readily to reach for pen & paper to complain. And there really is nothing to complain about Saturday!
Huge congratulations and I hope you are not completely bushed today. It is no small feat getting an event like this going.
All the best
M
Really enjoyed the run today. Excellent organisation and really friendly atmosphere. You should be congratulated on a first class event.
Thanks

Hello Boghopper Races
Just wanted to say thank you for a great day at the inaugural Boudicca Way Ultra. I was really looking forward to this one, and it didn't disappoint. All of the volunteers involved were wonderful, as such people do tend to be. There were many great things about the event - great route, brilliant signage/route mapping, generous provision at aid stations, water spray bottles, great medal, post-race beans on toast... - but the highlight for me was the proximity of start and finish to a train station. Travelling by public transport to trail events, particularly point-to-point ones, can be very challenging, so I really appreciated that the combination of start time and HQ location enabled me to travel there by train on the day.
See you at Weaver's Way,
Many thanks,
S
Hi there ,
was my first Ultra Marathon , was quite challenging battle with the heat on Saturday. I thought the marshalls / volunteers were great especially at the later check points. Not put me off doing another Ultra Marathon , though quite a bit different to marathon running . So quite a bit still to learn but i enjoy a challenge. So thanks for a well organised race.
Thanks
MT ( WAC )
Hi Kevin and Janice
I absolutely loved it from start to finish.
It was my first ultra and I will definitely be doing more in the future. It was a wonderful experience.
The guys with sprayers were an absolute god send.
My only comment would be the audio at the race briefing. It was OK in the briefing when everyone was quiet......but before that I don't think I heard a word.
The Wash Lane section was OK and I had my wife the other end for fresh shoes and socks. As I am diabetic looking after my feet is a key thing. I accept fully that getting feet wet is part of it but I have to be a little cautious. Having cleaned my shoes today...that was not all mud!
I will be back next year for sure.
Many Thanks
AG
Hello and a BIG THANK YOU and WELL DONE to you and all the support crew for putting on such a fantastic inaugural event on the Boudicca Way. I could have left a message on the facebook page but short of getting in your way when you were clearly very busy yesterday, I did want to express my personal thanks.
To be a bit more specific for you if the feedback helps:
I thought the sign on arrangements were spot on - friendly and efficient
I liked the 'parkrun style' briefing - where had folk come from. thanks to the crew etc
The route signage was perfect - the only bit that deviated a bit was in Tyrells Wood - Boudicca signage route v GPX route
The atmosphere at the checkpoints was great. Lots of supporters (your info for supporters helped) and attentive crew making sure runners had adequate liquid on what was a warmish(!!) day.
The finish line was lovely - every runner cheered in.
In summary - it certainly shone through that it was an event put on by runners for runners but still a notable achievement for a new event. THANKS AGAIN.
SD (Framlingham Flyers)
Hi, I just wanted to say thank you for really enjoyable event last week. The atmosphere was great, relaxing & inclusive. I have just looked at the photos & everyone is truly smiling & laughing as they come over the finish line. I got soaked by the huge wave as I came over the finish line, which made me laugh as I thought I would dip in the sea at the end to relax my legs!
I have been a race director in the past, so appreciate the amount of work that goes into these events, the waking up at 4am remembering something! I appreciated the fact that there was extra signage & the hedges were recently cut back in some areas as well as the well stocked feed stations.
My husband would also like to thank the marshal who kindly helped him when he became really cold as we walked to the car ( school boy error, he didn't change his kit at the end as we ate the cheese sandwiches)
Definitely be back again next year. Thanks again. CT
Hi Kevin and Janice,
Just a quick note to say thanks and to tell you how much I enjoyed the Weavers’ Way last weekend.
The care, passion, organisation and enthusiasm you demonstrated for the event was second to none and I hope that you felt that it was as successful and rewarding as all of us runners did. MB
Morning guys,
Just about recovered now haha. Wanted to say thanks for a brilliant day really enjoyed myself and it's nice when it all goes right.
The weather was perfect, and everyone involved at the start, checkpoints, finish etc really did a brilliant job. Congratulations on a perfect start to your race directing careers. TM
Hi
Just wanted to say a massive thank you for today's Weavers Way 50k. We thoroughly enjoyed it, was very well organised and supportive throughout & really hope to do more of your future races! Well done! 🎉 JB
Hi Janice,
I’ve just arrived back home after a wonderful race and while I’m still conscious I wanted to send a very heartfelt thank you to you and Kevin for putting on a great event for the first time.
I also really appreciate you letting me enter so late, I did not expect to end up winning my distance so it is profoundly appreciated.
I hope you both can manage some rest yourselves in the coming days. Pat yourselves on the back, I had a great time. DH
Dear Janice and Kevin,
Firstly, I hope you’ve managed to get some rest since Saturday?
Having been involved in organising races (not on the same scale) and working at many events I am all to aware of the sheer volume of work that goes into every tiny detail of a race. Most of which we, the athletes, never get to see. I hope you know that even if people didn’t say it, they will have appreciated it.
I had a great day. Stunning conditions, wonderful course, super friendly marshals along the way (please especially pass on my thanks to tail end cyclists Chris and Mark for their company – interestingly, both of them asked me if I wanted to be left alone or have them near me which was a very thoughtful thing to ask), cracking medal and online tracking to make it easier for on-course and remote supporters. That said, I felt utterly broken at the end with the worry about making the cutoff and the sheer exhaustion of the day. I was left wondering how I did SDW50 an hour quicker in April!!!
I hope the event grows and if it does, I know that you’ll build on a successful inaugural event.
Best wishes to you both and thank you again. MC
Just wanted to say thanks to you both and all the wonderful volunteers for yesterday.
Was a great choice to use the Weavers Way. Perfect showcase of Norfolk and living on the route myself (Alborough), it was a treat to take part in an event running through my village.
I thought it was flawlessly prepared for with excellent helpful signage. Even though I knew the route well, it was still nice to just settle into the running and not think too much!!
Particularly as a vegan, I was very well catered for, much more so than most other events. The checkpoints were well stocked, clearly marked, and the volunteers knew what was suitable which was so reassuring. Although i couldn't quite face more than a bit of toast at the end, I realise there was some great options for me there too.
Volunteers were brilliant throughout and seemed to be having as good a time as me (maybe even better!).
And your communication throughout was swift, friendly and helpful.
Thanks so much. I'm expecting great things in the future from you. Looking forward to your next event! DL
Just a quick note to say thank you for an amazing event yesterday. It was my first ultra and certainly won’t be my last.
The organisation was first class. The route was well laid out and it was comforting to know there were aid stations along the way.
Everyone involved was so friendly and full of enthusiasm. Hearing the marshalls cheering me on really gave me some well needed encouragement! And it was great to chat with some of the other runners along the way.
Please pass on my thanks to the entire team.
See you at the next one. MC
A big personal thank you to you both for organising such a brilliant new Ultra on our door step.
It was a perfect day .
I know how much work you both have put in to getting this of the ground!
and from my point of view you made my 100th a very special Day ! RC
